Phil's IT Managers Among the Least Paid in the World

The following are findings of the recent survey on IT Pay Around the World:

• Six of the world’s 10 highest-paying countries for information technology (IT) managers are in Western Europe with Switzerland as the highest globally at an average of $140,960 annually.
• The second-highest-paying country is Denmark which pays their IT managers at $123,080 per annum.
• Belgium ranked at 3, pays an average of $121,170.
• The UK and Ireland are ranked 4 and 5, with an average pay of $118,190 and $108,230, respectively.
• Ranked at 6-8 are the United States which pays its IT managers at $107,500 a year, Germany at $106,730 and Canada at $93,860.
• Hong Kong (9) pays at $90,340/annum and Australia (10) at $88,850.
• Asia dominates the rankings of lowest payers
• The survey found that IT managers in Vietnam, Bulgaria and the Philippines receive the lowest pay, respectively, at $15,470, $22,240 and $22,280 a year. Indian IT managers were fourth from the bottom, earning an average of $25,000.
